Huey P. Long, Sr.

January 23, 1939 — July 2, 2019

Huey P. Long, Sr., 80, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at a local healthcare facility.   He was a Truck Driver for Roadway Express for many years. He was a 50 year member of the Morristown Masonic Lodge 231 and a member of the Kerbela Shrine.  He was dedicated to helping children with transportation to the Shriners Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford Long and Ruby Moore Long and brother in law Tony Stafford. Survivors include his children Huey Long, Jr. and wife Tonya of Apollo Beach, FL and Pam Cook and husband Robert “Bob” of Ooltewah; grandchildren Kaitlin Cook, Piper Hitte (Michael), Natalie Long, Benjamin Long, Ramie Best (Matt) and Jesse Fulton; several great grandchildren also survive;  sisters Shelia Nicholson of Ooltewah, Joyce Stafford of Cleveland, and Ona Long of Cleveland; brothers Jimmy Long (Vanessa) of Cleveland, Robert Long (Sheila) of Cleveland, and Clyde Long (Evelyn) of Cleveland. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Kirby officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with David Higgins, Jackie Sexton, Frank Caywood, Bobby Bradford, Jason Moore, and Mike Long serving as pallbearers.  Hejaz Motor Corp and Kerbela Motor Corp will serve as honorary pallbearers.  His family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday July 8, 2019 at the funeral home, followed by a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m.We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Long family guestbook at www.fikefh.com.
