Jon’David Nicolas Hembree, 32, of Benton, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019. He was a former employee of Mecedes Benz in Savannah, GA and Integrity Chevrolet in Chattanooga. Jon’David was an avid musician and loved playing the guitar and drums. He was also a mustang and drag racing enthusiast. Jon’David loved his sons and prayed over them every night.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lorene McCann and his paternal grandparents, David and Carolyn Hembree.
Survivors include his parents, Scott and Hazel McCann Hembree of Benton; children, Jaxson David Hembree of Cleveland and Liam James Hembree of Savannah, GA; maternal grandparents, Bishop John Wesley McCann and First Lady Hazel McCann, of Benton; paternal grandfather, Lee Kelly of Cleveland; aunts and uncles, Edith (“Uncle Papaw” Kenneth) Blair, Julia (Bobby) Burger, Wilma Allen (Bishop Mike) Slocum, Connie Knotts, Diane (Mike) Henderson and Abigail Wiggins; great aunt and uncle, Louie and Louise Thompson; and to many cousins to mention.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with his father, Scott Hembree, Bishop John Wesley McCann and Pastor Crockett Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
