Easter Mae Douglas Barnhart, 97, of Cleveland passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home. She was a member of Newcomb Baptist Church in Newcomb, TN and attended Prospect Church of God in Cleveland. Easter retired as the public relations representative at Pacific Bell and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a member The Order of the Eastern Star in San Diego, CA. and enjoyed volunteering at the hospital also in California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Barnhart; parents, John H. Douglas and Ella Mae Day Douglas; siblings, Gladys Forgey, Ruth Carroll and John Paul Douglas; brothers –in-law, Don Alley and Bill Carroll and niece, Sherry Gail Forgey.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Alley of Charleston and brother-in-law, Reverend James Forgey of Cleveland; nieces and nephews, Beverly Carroll of Cleveland, Danny Douglas and wife Diane of Lexington, SC, Tammy Maxwell and husband Scotty of High Point, NC; Tom Carroll and wife Brenda of Cleveland, Jonna Epperson and husband Greg of Cleveland; Donna Simpson and husband Rick of Charleston and Melissa Woody and husband Dewey of Charleston; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018, in the chapel of Fike- Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Gann officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dewey Woody, Rick Simpson, Danny Douglas, N.C. Cartwright, Corey Simpson, Jim Woody, Jonathan Douglas, Steven Carroll, Greg Epperson and Chris Epperson serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
