Alice Marie Parris McDowell

Alice Marie Parris McDowell, age 58, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday evening, May 26, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland. Born on March 30, 1960 in Douglasville, Georgia to the late Bill and Myrtle Parris, she had lived a majority of her life in Bradley County.  Alice enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Parris; and grandson, Matthew Smith.

She is survived by her husband Jerry McDowell, Sr. of Cleveland; children, Georganna Smith of Delano, Angela Jackson of Athens, Jennifer(Chuck) Haggart of Etowah, Jerry Lee (Mamie) McDowell of Cleveland and Jerry Don( Jennifer) McDowell, Jr. of Cleveland; grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Ryan Smith, Destiny Patterson, Autumn Patterson, Hope Robinson, Drew Womack, Blake Womack, Candace McDowell, Jeremy McDowell, Sommer McDowell,  Caleb Farris, Logan Farris, and Jeffrey McDowell; great-grandchildren, Nova Robinson, Bria Robinson, and Nollie Robinson; sisters, Mary( Larry) Moorehead of Texas and Frances( Matt) Roddenberry of Alabama.  Several nieces, nephews, and extended family members also survive.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Alice will be held at 7:00 p.m.  on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in the chapel of Fike Randolph and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Zach Davis officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the funeral hour.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. EST (1:00 p.m. CST) on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Munger Cemetery in Jacksonville, Alabama.
