Alexander "Sandy" Christison Jr.

Alexander “Sandy” Christison Jr, 77, of Cleveland, and originally from Schenectady, NY, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was retired from Rubbermaid as Plant Manager.  Sandy was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.  He was a veteran of the United States Marines and a former member of American Legion Post 81.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Alexander L. Christison Sr. and Gladys Elizabeth (Chase) Christison.

Survivors include his wife, Marianne Christison; children, Jon Alexander Christison (Hollie) of Cleveland and Mary Elizabeth Wood and special friend Bill Birjkoff of Dalton, GA; brother, Thomas Christison (Beth) of San Bernandino, CA; and grandchildren, Benjamin Jager of Camp LaJune, NC, Fran Wood of Buford, GA and Steven Christison, Gary Christison and Robert Christison, all of Cleveland.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Jon Christison, Steven Christison, Robert Christison, Bill Birjkoff, Gary Christison, and Tim McHugh serving as pallbearers. 
 
His family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home.
