Linda Gail Lovelace Varnell

Linda Gail Lovelace Varnell, 64, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at a Chattanooga hospital.  She was a 1971 graduate of Cleveland High School where she played basketball.  Linda was an avid fan of the UT Lady Vols. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Rayford Lovelace, Sr.; and her great nephew, Nolan Russell Blackmon.

Survivors include her mother, Shirley Walder Lovelace; husband, Lonnie Varnell;  son, Lee Anthony Varnell; grandsons, David Joesph Lancaster and Jacob Anthony Varnell; sisters, Dianna Johnson (Mike), Cindy Blackmon (Chuck) and Donna Lovelace; brother, Wallace R. Lovelace, Jr. (Kathy); niece, Erin C. Johnson Fennell (Jack); nephews, Logan Johnson, Rusty Blackmon (Cody), Bryant Blackmon (Meghan),  Ryan Lovelace (Cassie) and Corey Lovelace (Jesse); great-nieces, Reed Blackmon, Freya Lovelace, Sabrina Fennell; and great-nephews, Nathan Blackmon, Raiden Lovelace and Jace Lovelace.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Seaton officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the service.
