Judith Irene Rose

Judith “Judy” Irene Rose, 76, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was a member of First Lutheran Church for 60 years.

Judy was born January 15, 1940 in Vincennes, IN to the late Carl and Sadamae Mangelsdorf. She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School and attended the University of Tennessee.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John Franklin Rose, Sr.; brothers, Carl, Jr. and Richard; and sister, Donna Hett.

Survivors include her daughter, Audrey Rose Barnes and husband Stephen; grandsons, Brandon Barnes of Cleveland and Dr. Ryan Barnes of Winston Salem, NC; son, John Rose, Jr. and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew and Allison all of Cumming, GA.; sisters, Janet Mullinax and Joan Vander Zee; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, no service will be held.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Avalon Hospice for their care and support.
