Nell Morton

March 2, 1920 — February 24, 2016

Nell Morton, 95, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at her home.  She was an avid bridge player, a member of the Garden Club and the Mae Dooley Circle.  Nell was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Her family was very important to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Flossie Herrington Morgan; husband, James E. Morton; daughter, Shann Robinson; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Penny Bunch of Cleveland; son-in-law, Hugh Robinson of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Beth (Sam) Cooper and Amy (Kevin) Woolson, all of Mason, OH, Melanie (Tom) Bayliss of Athens, TN, Michael (Shirley) Bunch of Cleveland, Michelle (Matthew) Swafford of Delano and Mindy (Andre’) Sebastian of Perry, GA; nine great grandchildren, Charlie and Molly Woolson, Will Cooper, Isaiah and Isabella Bayliss, Gavin and Caroline Swafford and Eli and Simon Sebastian; and several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim Bracken officiating.  Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Eddie Harris, Micah Harris, Charlie Gilliland, Michael Bunch, Gale Housley and Halen Housley serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.  

Her family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
