Mary C. Hampton

Mary C. Hampton, 85, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at her residence.  She was a retired nurse.  Mary was a member of Eastside church of Christ.  She was devoted to her family and her church.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Durance and Gertrude Davis Caldwell; brothers, John Caldwell, Jim Caldwell and Ronald Caldwell; and sister, Jackie Caldwell.   Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Jim Hampton of Cleveland; children, Sharon Hampton Gregory Weis, Connie Cromer and husband, Ed and Walt Hampton, all of Nashville and Jeff Hampton of Tiptonville; 13 grandchildren, Lela Gregory, Ben Gregory, Joseph Gregory, Anna Gregory, James Gregory,and wife, Fallen, Lorien Crowe and husband, Troy, Alexandra Weis, Adam Cromer and wife, Jenny, Matt Cromer and wife, Becky, Will Cromer and wife, Catherine, Josh Hampton, Jammie Preston and husband, Nick and Nicole Hunt; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Edie Zak and husband, Ron of Blue Ridge, GA; and several nieces and nephews including special nephew, Danny Caldwell.   The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Archey and Minister Bill Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.   Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.   The family requests that memorials be made the Mt.
