Suzanne Lorenz Llewellyn

January 27, 1941 — October 29, 2015

Suzanne Lorenz Llewellyn, 74, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at her home. She retired from Cleveland City Schools after 29 years of service where she had worked as the parent coordinator for the Title I program and a school teacher. She was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church since 1951 and was actively involved. Suzanne was also a member of the Women's Service League of Cleveland, Symphony Guild, Cleveland-Athens Cotillion, Cleveland Garden Club and a Girl Scout leader. She was preceded in death by her parents, C. W. "Bill" Lorenz and Roberta "Bobbie" Fandel Lorenz. Survivors include her husband, Carl Llewellyn of Cleveland; children, Carl Llewellyn, Jr. and wife, Lee of Atlanta, GA, Suzanne Lorenz "Loren" Llewellyn Jenkins and husband, Bart of Chattanooga and Roberta Elizabeth "Libba" Llewellyn of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Bryant "Ryan" Llewellyn and Kathryn Carson Llewellyn, both of Atlanta, GA and Grant Jenkins and Turner Jenkins, both of Chattanooga; four sisters, Kathreen Smith, Barbara Shaw, Mary Vines and Robin Oughtred, all of Cleveland; brother, David Lorenz of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan presiding. An entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Kameron Dunn, Ty Young, Israel Essex, Brad Vines, Bill Oughtred and Anthony Spezia serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home followed by a rosary service at 6:00 p.m. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 1035 Executive Drive #105, Hixson TN 37343 or the Siskin Children's Institute, 1101 Carter Street, Chattanooga TN 37402.
