Reba Jean Haulk Ratcliffe

October 20, 1934 — August 15, 2015

Reba Jean Haulk Ratcliffe, 80, a resident of Cleveland passed away August 15, 2015, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's with her family by her side. She was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She was a loving second mother and "Mamaw Jean" to many children that she cared for in her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, William "Bill" Vaden Ratcliffe; parents, Riley Benson Haulk and Callie Lucille Lemons Haulk; siblings, Artie Dixon, Ida Lewis, Lona King, Eva Nipper, Lillian Haulk, Ruth Harbison, Ethel Haulk, Riley Benson (R.B.) Haulk, Jr., and Charles Luther (C.L.) Haulk. Survivors include her son, Gary D. Ratcliffe of Cleveland; daughter, JoAnn R. Cavett and husband, Larry of Cleveland; grandsons, Mark A. Ratcliffe and wife, Rebecca of Greenville, SC and Jonathan V. Cavett and wife, Tara of Cleveland; granddaughter, Courtney C. Pippenger and husband, John Hoyt of Benton; great-granddaughter, Callie A. Ratcliffe of Greenville, SC; and great-grandsons, Hezekiah D. Cavett and Nicolaus Moses V. Cavett of Cleveland and Jonathon Pippenger of Benton; brother, Ray Haulk and wife, Linda; sister, Bessie Duckworth and husband, Carl all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. The Ratcliffe family would like to offer our sincere appreciation to the staff of Bradley Healthcare and Rehabilitation for their loving care and compassion given to Jean for the past eight and one half years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Carl Duckworth and grandson, Jonathan Cavett officiating. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery in Ocoee, TN with Gary Ratcliffe, Mark Ratcliffe, Jonathan Cavett, Charles Ownby, Carl Haulk, and Ray Haulk serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
