Nancy Brown Helton

Nancy Brown Helton, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir as a young woman. Nancy served as secretary of her Sunday School Class. She was the daughter of the late, Fred, Sr. and Adelia Brown. Her daughter Rebecca Helton Bruce and her nephew, Keith Brown, also preceded her in death. Survivors include her two grandchildren, Halley Carden and Matthew Bruce; two brothers and their wives, Fred, Jr. and Betty Brown of Cleveland and Clyde "Bit" and Barbara Brown of Brentwood; three nieces, Susan Butler of Cleveland, Dee Ann Stone of Brentwood and Joni DeBord of Knoxville; as well as several great nieces and nephews. In keeping with her generous spirit, Nancy donated her body to science. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Wickes officiating. Her family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church, Manna Ministry, P.O.
