Mae H. York

Mae H. York, age 83, a resident of Cleveland since 1928 , passed away suddenly Friday, September 22, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Huskey and Clementine Whaley Huskey; her husband, John D. (J.D.) York; sisters: Lavisha Prince, Trula Officer, Melissa Goins and Mamie Apostolos; brothers: Emert Huskey, Charlie Huskey and Perman Huskey.

She is survived by two sons: Garry York of Memphis and friend, Jo Moore, Michael A. York and wife, Creedia York of Cleveland; three grandchildren: April York Berman and husband, Michael Berman of Brentwood, Michael A. York, Jr. and wife, Danielle York of Cleveland and Jason D. York of Cleveland; three great grandchildren: Jonathan York, Nathaniel York, Lawson Berman and one to be here soon; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Daron Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Chestuee United Methodist Church Cemetery with Michael York, Jr., Jason York, Michael Berman, Roy Huskey, Richard Huskey and Dewey Huskey serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
