David Lamar Spencer

David L. Spencer, 60, a resident of Cleveland and a former resident of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, December 04, 2007 in a local hospital.
Mr. Spencer was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church.
He was retired from Roper Manufacturing Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Spencer was a private man that loved animals, especially his cat and dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard N. Spencer and Gladys Irene Stewart Spencer.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Lloyd Beasley of Cleveland and his brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Wanda Spencer of Rossville, GA and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Reverend Gary Higgins officiating.
His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Fike Funeral Home.
