Helen Stone Rapp

Helen Stone Rapp, a resident of Oak Ridge since 1944, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007 in a Farragut healthcare facility. She was a Bradley County native. She was the daughter of the late Oceola (O.G.) and Lida Denton Stone and was also preceded in death by a brother, O.G. Stone. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Oak Ridge for many years. She retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory after 20 years of service.

She is survived by two great nephews: Andrew G. Smith III and Michael D. Smith both of Jupiter, Florida; one great niece, Christel S. Robison of Jupiter, Florida; six great-great nieces and nephews; several cousins and other family members in the Tennessee area; one step son, Karl E. Rapp III of Knoxville; two step grandsons.

A family graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2007 at Triplett Cemetery in the Black Fox Community with Minister Jesse Bradshaw officiating.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, 116 East Division Street, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
