Patrick L. Pierce

Patrick L. Pierce, age 70, a resident of McDonald, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2006 at a local hospital. He was of the Baptist faith and attended McDonald United Methodist Church. Mr. Pierce was a truck driver for thirty-five years with Nabisco Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Lane Pierce and Alice McAmish Pierce; sisters, Esther Myers Simmons and Katherine Waldron; brother, Taylor Pierce.

He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Margaret Williams Pierce and one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Pierce Kinder and Tony Kinder of McDonald; one granddaughter, Laura Kinder of McDonald; sisters: Helen Suits and Frances Davey of Cleveland, JoAnn Pierce ;of Chattanooga, Evelyn Wilkinson and Ruth Johnson of Barberton, Ohio; brothers: Mike Pierce of Cleveland and Owen Pierce of Chattanooga.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2006 at Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Kinder and Reverend Paul Miracle officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Reggie Suits, Michael Pierce, Mitchell Kinder, Randy Brown, Frank Albritton and John Driver serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe McClanahan, Bill Brock, Jack McCarter, John Kinder, John Spencer and Herman Chastain.
