Willie Mae Myers, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at a local hospital.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she was very active for over 60 years. Mrs. Myers retired after 48 years of employment from Cleveland Enamel Plant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sue Chandler Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charlie Myers; son and daughter-in-law, Herman and Dianne Myers; sister, Mary Ruth Scoggins; brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Jerri Smith all of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24. 2007 at Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Truitt Cockrell and Pastor Dewayne White officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with a white dove release concluding the ceremony.
Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
