Herman A. Moore, 75, a resident of Cleveland for the past 60 years entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 01, 2007 surrounded by his family. He was a member of South Cleveland Church of God. He was a self employed plumber for fifty years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur B. and Nellie Moore and one sister, Helen Ayers.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlene Guinn Moore of Cleveland; four children and their spouses: Dianne and Dennis Dimarco of Dallas, TX, Vickie Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Lisa and Denny Webb, Eric and Kitty Moore all of Cleveland; also four wonderful grandchildren: Gabriel Southerland of Dallas, TX, Brian Johnson, Haily and Dylan Webb of Cleveland; four great-grandchildren; four brothers and their spouses: Bob and Ruth Ann Moore of Cleveland, Alvin and Rebecca Moore of Detroit, Michigan, Xen Moore of Jamestown, TN and Marcus Moore of Alcoa, TN; three sisters: Wilda Stott of Maryville, TN, Ruby Youngblood of Atlanta, GA and Lois Hewitt of San Diego, California; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Moody and Dr. Carl Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Chestuee Cemetery on Chestuee Road with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Roy Sherlin, Charlie Defriese, Charlie Moody, Jim Brannock, Paul Bowman and Bo Lewis.
His family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
