Bertie Josephine Lowery

Bertie Josephine Lowery, age 91, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 20, 2006 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cleveland. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Maude Chapman Rhodes and was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lee Lowery.

She is survived by her children: Doris Sue Barker of Turtletown, Marvin Lee Lowery, Jr. of Murphy, North Carolina, Fredrick Lowery of Ooltewah and Debra Josephine Lowery of Chattanooga; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Niota Cemetery with Pastor Ted Dubs and Marvin Lee Lowery, Jr. officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Fike Funeral Home.
