Vorus Ingle

Vorus Ingle, 83, a longtime resident of Bradley County passed away Sunday January 27, 2008 at a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ingle was a loving mother and grandmother and she was always active in her church when she was able. She enjoyed quilting and being a good homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Hershel Melton and Artie Bell Dixon Melton, and her husband; William "Bill" Ingle.
Mrs. Ingle is survived by her daughter Mitzi Ownby and husband Hal of Cleveland, grandchildren; Keith Hooper, Brock Ownby, Natalie Holder and husband Cory all of Cleveland, brothers; Herman Melton and wife Marge, Jack Melton and wife Sara of Cleveland and Carl Melton and wife Vesta of Riceville, aunt; Nell Rose of Cleveland and sister-in-law; Mamie Sartin of Cleveland, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Sammy Hooker officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Ralph Krisle, Tommy Melton, Dennis Melton, Steve Melton, Keith Hooper, Brock Ownby and Cory Holder serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
