Tommie Odessa Hilliard

Tommie Odessa Hilliard, 92, a resident of Cleveland passed away December 7, 2007 in a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Hilliard was a member of Eastside Church of Christ since 1948. She worked for many years in the textile industry with her husband and her later years were spent as a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Hilliard, parents; Henry J. Epperson and Matilda Hayes Epperson, brother; Vernon Epperson and sister, Irene Howard.

She is survived by son; Jim Hilliard and his wife Jitka of Baton Rouge, LA., daughter-in-law, Sally Hilliard of Knoxville, grandchildren; Renay Armit of Athens, Michelle Bourbeau of Roswell, GA., James Hilliard and Jana Hilliard of Baton Rouge, LA., three great grandchildren, one brother; Eddie Epperson and wife Bill of Cleveland and one sister; Faye Moore of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 10, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Eastside Church of Christ with Minister Jeff Archey and Minister Mike Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Old Fort with Ronald Moore, Bruce Epperson, Terry Epperson, Butch Ray, Herdis Kyle and Bill Maynard serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Fike Funeral Home.
