Lavelle Henry, 93, passed away January 29, 2008 at her home in Cleveland. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She was of the Church of God faith and read her Bible faithfully everyday as long as she could see to read.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Wayne Henry; one daughter, Joyce Welch and one granddaughter, Angie Sharp.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Larry Turner of Cleveland, one granddaughter and husband, Lisa and Dwight Tinsley of Charleston; three grandsons, Joe Turner and wife, Sidney of Cleveland, Rick Welch and Tracy Welch of GA; seven great grandchildren, Laura Turner, A.J. Sharp, Henry Bubba' Sharp, Summer Allen, Corey Welch, Wyatt Welch and Mekayla Welch and several great great grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no viewing at the funeral home. There will only be a private graveside service for the family at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 519 E. Fourth St., Chattanooga, TN 37403.
