Donnis P. Helms, Sr.

Donnis P. Helms, Sr., age 57, passed away Monday in a local hospital. He was a member of the Assemblies of God. He was employed with the city of Avon Park, FL for 27 years as water department manager. Mr. Helms was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge P. Helms and Lillie Barefield Helms and son, Donnis P. Helms, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Julie Jones of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Leigh Jones, Abigail Jones and Jeremy Helms; brothers: Ricky Helms of Avon Park, FL and Robert Helms of Orlando, FL; sisters: Carolyn Kimble of Orlando, FL and Jeannie Drew of Avon Park, FL.

Funeral services will be conducted at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL. Interment will be in Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park, FL.
