Ruby G. Ellis

Ruby G. Ellis, age 72, a resident of Cleveland passed away, Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a member of Faith Memorial Church. Mrs. Ellis was retired from Charleston Hosiery Mill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Fritts and Margaret Turnbill Fritts; son-in-law, Howard Lee Garrett, Jr. and fifteen brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Tom H. Ellis of Cleveland; sons: Nicky Ellis and wife, Beverly, Ricky Ellis and wife, Teresa and Jeff Ellis and wife, Trish all of Cleveland; daughters: Shelia Cronan and husband, Edward of Cohutta, GA and Linda Garrett of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Ed Eldredge officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Shawn Ellis, Rodney Cronan, Adam Garrett, Tommy Brown, Josh Duncan and Calvin Denney serving as pallbearers. Great grandsons: Mitch Ellis, Dakota Ellis, Brayden Owens, Chase Denney, Tucker Garrett, Will Garrett, Cody Cronan, Matt Cronan and Zack Williams will serve as honorary pallbearers. The graveside service will conclude with the release of a flock of white doves.
