Virginia Thomas Eldredge

Virginia Thomas Eldredge, 90, of Franklin, TN and formerly of Cleveland, TN, on North Lee Highway, which is now Anatole, died peacefully January 10, 2008 at N.H.C. Healthcare Center in Franklin, TN.

Mrs. Eldredge was a member of Bellefounte Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN. She was born June 17, 1917 and married the late John Browder Eldredge on July 30, 1943.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Browder Eldredge of Cleveland, father, John Alexander Thomas, mother, Mary Florence Alford Thomas of Cleveland; sisters, Ruth (A.J.) Thomas Buchanan, Dorothy Thomas (Thomas K.) Gibson and nephews James B. Eldredge (Jean) and Jack D. Eldredge.

She is survived by nephew, Gary Richard (Glenda) Buchanan of College Grove; niece, Judith Buchanan (Thomas) Duncan of Brentwood, TN,; and great nieces: Lisa Buchanan (Roger) Baskin of Nashville, TN, Debbie Eldredge Johnston (Tucker) of Cleveland, TN, ; great nephews: Gary Ray Buchanan of Celebration, Florida, Jeff (Shani) Duncan of Brentwood, TN, Darrell (Heather) Duncan of Brentwood, TN, Kevin Duncan of Republic of Costa Rica, Mark (Catherine) Webb of Lula, Georgia, Johnny (Sandra) Eldredge of Cleveland, TN; great-great nieces: Adele Duncan and Katie Doll Duncan, Hailey Johnston of Cleveland and great-great nephews: Austin and Trevor Baskin of Nashville, TN, Davis, Jackson and Hilton Duncan of Brentwood, TN, Chad Eldredge of Charleston, South Carolina, Miller and Barrett Johnston of Cleveland and many life long friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Sensing of Clarksville, TN and Pastor Lake Walker of Cleveland, TN officiating. Interment will follow in the Calhoun Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
