Walter William (Bill) Davis

Walter William (Bill) Davis, 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in a local healthcare facility.
He was a member of North Cleveland Church of God where he attended the Unity Sunday School Class.
Mr. Davis was retired from the military where he served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1983. He retired with the rank of Master Chief Boatswain's Mate (E-9).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Davis and Ruth Palmer Davis; 2 brothers, Charles Davis and Frank Davis.
He is survived by 4 sisters: Cora Jane Roe of Cleveland, Yvonne Harris of Charleston, SC, Beatrice Zinza of Enfield, CT and Betty Mullette of San Leandro, CA; brothers, John Davis of FL and Paul Davis of Willington, MA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Smith and Pastor Cecil Guiles officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. David Morris, Josh Jones, Bill Whitmire, John Stanesic, Darrell Lipscomb and Matthew Lipscomb will serve as pallbearers.
His family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
