Billy Joe Crittenden, age 82 of Charleston, TN passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at Erlanger Hospital.

Bill was born in Moro, Arkansas to the late Joe C. and Loueva Monger Crittenden.

Years later, Bill with his parents, moved to the Calhoun, Charleston, TN area. He soon met the love of his life, Wanda Colloms, and they were married on September 7, 1962.

Bill worked as an Operating Engineer in heavy equipment and was a member of the Local 917 Union of Engineers for 62 years.

He loved the great outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter as well as an excellent handyman, proficient in electrical, plumbing, woodworking, and building furniture.

Bill and Wanda started building their own house in 1974 and moved into it in 1976.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe C. and Loueva Crittenden.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memories, wife of 60 years, Wanda Colloms Crittenden; sons, Mike Crittenden of Charleston, Roger (Ariel) Crittenden of Riceville, David (Penny) Crittenden of Decatur; grandson, Davis Justin Crittenden; granddaughter, Emily Lynn Crittenden.

A funeral service will be held at 1PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Daniel Stewart of Robbinsville, NC and a special friend, Voice “Bud” Everett. Interment will follow in the Center Point Baptist Cemetery of Charleston, TN.

The family will receive friends on Saturday 11am until the 1 PM service begins at Fike-Randolph Funeral Home of Cleveland.

Pallbearers will be, Tyler Norton, Steve Hixon, Justin Crittenden, Jerry Boyd, Charles “Bub” Boyd, Reed O’Daniel,

Honorary Pallbearers are Butch Maddox, Randy Maddox, and Eddie Wayne Hamby.
