Clarence A. Lowe

October 10, 1943 — February 3, 2022

                                                   

Clarence A. Lowe, 78, an Army veteran, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

He became the first Director of Sports for Youth at Bradley County Recreational Park while also serving as a coach. He was a sports and outdoor enthusiast, being an avid fan of the Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.

A talented tile setter, he was co-owner of Ceramic installations in Chattanooga.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Mary Katherine Lowe; his siblings: Wayne Lowe, Harold Lowe, Terry Lowe, and Carlene Duggar.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley Murray Lowe; sons: Michael Lowe and Monte Lowe; he also leaves to cherish his memory three grandchildren: Ryan (Georgia) Lowe, Caramie Lowe and Kourtni Lowe; one great grandchild, Owen Lowe; brother, Leon Lowe; sisters: Gloria Beattie and Debbie (Sam) Carpenter; and his faithful companion, “Tooee”.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hospice of Chattanooga for caring for Clarence.

The Celebration of life and Home-going will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry Murray and the Reverend Timothy Gann officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Joe Park, Chris Lowe, David Patil, Mike Morrissey, Sam Carpenter, and Gill Barrett will serve as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
