Dallas Johnson

Richard Dallas Johnson, 72, of Georgetown, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 in a local healthcare facility after struggling with dementia and COVID-19.  He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed working on his farm and loved his family, especially his grandson.  Dallas was a life-time member of both the Harrison Lodge and clown unit of the Alhambra Shrine.  He retired from DuPont after 34 years.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sherry Caldwell Johnson; daughters, Deanna (Brian) Ghormley and Stacy Melton; grandson, Weston Dallas Melton; mother, Ida Johnson; brothers, Jerry (Susie) Johnson and Tommy (Linda) Johnson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions only a graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Cofer Cemetery in Georgetown.
