Frank Runyon Ellis

Frank R Ellis Jr., 84, of Cleveland passed away Monday, August 26, 2024. He was born November 5, 1939, to the late Frank R Ellis Sr. and Mildred Elizabeth Cox Ellis. Frank graduated from Bradley Central High School, Belmont University, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Grace Fellowships International.

He leaves behind the cherished memory of his wife of 67 years, Betty Mantooth Ellis; children, 3 wonderful sons, Tony Ellis, wife Amanda, Tim Ellis, wife Donna and Tracy Ellis, wife Mardie. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Brandi Moore, Brooke Huddleston, Candis Leach, Hannah Cathey, Bayleigh Craft, Zachary Ellis, Zoe Alex, Camille Dalton, Renee Ellis Shee and Luaren Ellis; 8 great grandchildren, Braylen Moore, Oliver Huddleston, Eliza Huddleston, Lily Lorelei Leach, Luna Leia Leach, Sadie Grace Cathey, Ronan Craft and Harleigh Craft; Also added to our family is Rev. Bobby and Joyce Moore and Ashlynee.

Frank took pride in serving the Lord in TN, NC and CO. He loved reading and sports, but teaching was his joy. He served his country in the U.S. Army, with 8 years in the TN National Guard. 

On Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., a coming home celebration will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Rusty Asble officiating. 

Special thanks to the staff at CHI Memorial and Hospice for the wonderful loving care for Frank during his illness. 

In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donation be made the CHI or Hospice or the First Baptist of Cleveland building fund.
