H. C. Baker

Henry Carl “H.C.” Baker, 72, of Ringgold, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born in Cleveland to the late Paul and Christine Hixson Baker.  H. C. was a fireman for 33 years with the Cleveland Fire Department.  He never met a stranger and everyone loved him for his colorful personality.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mitchell Baker and Paul Baker, Jr.; and sister, Anna Ruth Ditmore.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Janice Snyder Baker of Ringgold, GA; sons, Adam (April) Watson and John Sanders; daughter, Angie (Kris) Miller; six grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, Jordyn, Kendalyn, John Jr. and Tristan; sisters, Lorene “Dinky” Mowery and Barbara (Terry) Marr, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Pastor Gary Sears officiating.  Levi Scott, Greg Hooper, Donnie Sherlin, David May, Jr., Steve Haun and James Williams will be serving as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home prior to the service.
