James Anthony "Tony" Rue

James Anthony “Tony” Rue, 55, of Ooltewah, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at his home.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty June Rue.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, James M. Rue, of McDonald; sister, Marcella J. Greene (Danny), of Knoxville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Westwood Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Smartt and Pastor Nolan Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow in Johnston Cemetery with Larry Smith, Jason McMillian, Ken Basquez, Donnie Jenkins, David Earnest and Nathan Vincent serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Westwood Baptist Church Building Fund, 4001 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37312.
