Leona McFarland

Leona McFarland, 80 of Cleveland. For us the angels arrived unexpectedly on Thursday morning December 8th to take Leona to meet her loving savior. She appreciated beautiful things in life and is now experiencing the greatest beauty ever! Leona was born on December 28, 1941, in Cleveland, Tennessee to Gilbert and Blanche Beaty Pence. She was retired from Hickory Springs Manufacturing. She later worked at Belk’s at Hamilton Place Mall for many years until she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer of which she survived! Being diagnosed twice with this disease, she treasured life and fought to live every day, and was a 12-year survivor! She loved having fun and spending time with her family and her family adored her and will miss her laughter and good times shared! She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Pamela Kay Ballinger Johnson. Her survivors left to cherish her memory are her son, Jimmy Dewayne Ballinger, grand children: Jennifer Holden (Donte Carter), Dustin Johnson, Colby Johnson Bullard (Curtis), Blake Ballinger, and Cody Ballinger, great-grandchildren: Chance Dunn, Mecalah Johnson, Shayla Bullard, Karalyn Holden, Autumn Ballinger, Collin Ballinger, Tyson Bullard and Camden Ballinger, Sisters Shirley Lewis (Roy Rollins) and Deborah Kelley (Joe) and several loving nieces. The family will receive friends 11 – 1 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Fike Randolph & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastors James Sears and Gary Sears officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
