Mary Lou Cross Sluder

April 21, 1948 — July 7, 2022

Mary Lou Cross Sluder, 74, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 in a local health care facility.   She was born April 21, 1948 in Germany to the late Homer and Franziska “Fanny” Cross.  Mary Lou was a member of Mount Olive Ministries.  She enjoyed her flower gardens and was a loving wife.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marissa Sluder; son, Scott Edward Sluder; sister, Janet Cross Teague; and mother and father-in-law, Bryson and Wanda Sluder.      

Survivors include her husband, James E. Sluder of Cleveland; brother, Steve Cross of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Deborah Sluder Stewart of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2022 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Sears officiating.  The interment will follow in the Fort Hill Veterans Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
