Myers Benjamin "Bud" Chittenden

Myers Benjamin “Bud” Chittenden, 90, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 in an Athens hospital.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a corpsman.  Bud was a retired foreman from a furniture manufacturing company and also taught woodworking at Bradley Central High School.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  Bud was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time at the lake.  He also ran Chittenden’s Plants and More in Charleston.  Bud loved spending time with his family.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Alta Marler Chittenden; sisters, Marlene and Helen; and brother, Don.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Gilliland Chittenden of Cleveland; children, Faye (Paul) Mazurek of Cleveland and Tom (Nadine) Chittenden of Englewood; grandchildren, Helen (Blake) Bennett and Joseph (Tanya) Mazurek, all of Chattanooga; great grandson, Caleb Mazurek; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
