Stewart Clark Howard, 93, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at his home. A veteran of the United States Army he was a retired chemist at Emory University. Stewart was a member of Emory Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and also served on several committees with the Atlanta USA Presbytery. While in Cleveland he attended First Presbyterian Church where he was involved in various activities and appreciated the warm Christian welcome he received there.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Martin Howard; parents, David and Sarah Clark Howard; and sister, Martha Howard Haynes.
Survivors include his brother, David (Melinda) Howard of Vancouver, WA; nieces, JoAnn Hope (Ken) Scannapiego of Cleveland and Jane Hope (Larry) Martin of Knoxville; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Schmitt officiating. The interment will follow in New Friendship Cemetery with Martin Swany, Hope Wike, Kyle Wike, Meg Martin, Cole Swany and Noah Swany serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Martin and Ken Scannapiego.
