Violet Frances Heifner

Violet Frances Heifner, 90, of Cleveland went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2020 at her home.  She was a lady of great faith, she was a member of Bellefounte Baptist Church for decades and before that  she was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. 

Violet was a hard worker, who worked on a dairy farm into her sixties.  She loved to mow her yard and tend to her garden throughout her retirement.  She had a servant’s heart, always putting the needs of others before her own.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ondus G. Swafford and W.F. “Pete” Heifner; parents, William and Willie Boring; siblings, Clifford Boring, Harvey Boring, Marie Boring, Dorothy Boring, Juanita Epperson and Virginia Boring and two children, James Heifner and Bertha Heifner Dover. 

She is survived by four children, Ruth (Charles) Delaney, Martha (J.W.) Burgess, John (Karen) Heifner and Naomi (Bill) Hostler; she felt blessed to be called “Granny Violet” by twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home with Pastors Lake Walker and J.W. Burgess officiating.  Interment will follow in Double Springs Cemetery with her grandsons servings as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
