Warren Roger Gilbert

Warren Roger Gilbert, 65, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 in a Chattanooga hospital.  He was a member of North Cleveland Church of God and was retired form M&M Mars.  A veteran of the United States Air Force, he was a wonderful husband, loving father and grandfather and the best brother in the world.  He loved his family, his friends and the many people he had met while working at his family’s bakery.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Thelma McKinley Gilbert.

Survivors include his wife, Athena Foster Gilbert of Cleveland; children, Nathan Gilbert (Amy) of Maryville, Kevin Gilbert of Cleveland and Jeremy Gilbert (Erika)  of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren, Leighanna, Lillian, Andrew, Allison, Max and Anna; siblings, Larry Gilbert (Ann), Eddie Gilbert (Brenda), Scotty Gilbert (Gina) and Debbie Thomason (Joe); aunts and uncle, nieces and nephews and his dog, Louie also survive.

The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in the Dixon chapel of North Cleveland Church of God with Pastor Steve Gilbert and Pastor Dustin Gilbert officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors.  Nathan Gilbert, Kevin Gilbert, Jeremy Gilbert, Dustin Gilbert, Anthony Gilbert and Joshua Thomason will serve as pallbearers. 

His family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
